In a perfect harmony with the natural environment, Essentia Vita comfy suites is located next to the cosmopolitan capital of Thassos, Limenas, at an ideal distance of one kilometer of pleasant coastal route, from the bustling city center. Only 100 meters away is the beach of ”Agios Vassilios”, where you can enjoy swimming at an organized beach with cafes, bars and restaurants.
The port is located 500 meters from our accommodation. Also close enough you will find a Medical Center, Supermarkets, and Chemist’.

THE DESTINATION
Thassos is located in northern Greece, opposite the coasts of Eastern Macedonia. Its coastline is 115 km. The distance from Kavala City is 18 nautical miles and only 6 miles from Keramoti. The island is served from the Airports of Chrysoupoli and Thessaloniki. The capital of Thassos is Limenas, with Limenaria as the second largest town. It has about 14,000 inhabitants. You will reach Limenas by Ferry Boat departing from the port of Keramoti, after a pleasant journey that lasts 40 minutes or Prinos from the port of Kavala in 75 minutes.
Beaches of Thassos
Next to our hotel at a distance of two minutes on foot you will find the organized beaches of st Vasilios and Tarsanas. Close enough within a few minutes drive to the west you will find Nisteri, Glyfada, Papalimani , the cosmopolitan La Scala and Pachis, while eastwards there is the popular beach of Saliara with the white pebbles.
It could be an omission not to visit
- Golden Beach, the longest beach of the island with water sports.
- Paradise an exotic place also available for nudists.
- Aliki where you can see the ancient quarry of marble and the ruins of two churches of the 5th century.
- Giola a natural swimming pool in the sea surrounded by rocks at a height of 8m ideal for diving.
- Glyfoneri, a small beach with pine- trees reaching the water and offering natural shade.
Furthermore on the Southern part of the island you can find Psili Ammos, Τripiti, Pefkari, Salonikios, Rosogremos, Astride. Of course these are only some of the countless beaches of Thassos island waiting for you to explore and love them.
The Beautiful Villages of Thassos
Scattered in every corner, the villages of Thassos are ready to welcome you. Discover them one by one, walk them, photograph them and get memories of a lifetime. Each of them with its own distinct identity and special characteristics.
The coastal villages of Thassos such as the capital Limenas, Limenaria, Potos, Koinira, Maries, Skala Panagias, Skala Potamias, Skala Prinou, Skala Kallirachis, Skala Sotiros, gather a large number of people. Mountain and nature lovers, however, will be pleasantly surprised as on the island one can find beautiful traditional mountain villages, buried in the plane trees and the running waters, such as Panagia, Potamia, Theologos, Kazaviti which are close to beautiful beaches with emerald waters.
Archaeological sites
Perched on the hill above the capital of Thassos, Limenas, is located the ancient theater of Thassos and even higher dominates the Acropolis, with the ruins of the Ancient Temples of Apollo and Athena. At the foot of the hill you can find the ruins of the ancient Agora and right next to it, the Archeological Museum with the famous Kouros and other significant exhibits. Acropolis is easily accessible and offers for a walk, starting from the archeological museum and reaching its top.
At the popular beach of Aliki there is an ancient quarry, the ”Snow White” marble of which decorated many monuments of antiquity such as the tomb of Amphipolis. Also the ruins of two churches dating back to the 5th century.
